Virtual Tour

As part of the Advanced Visualization Laboratory of the Dariah.lab project (https://lab.dariah.pl/), Poznańskie Centrum Superkomputerowo-Sieciowe (https://www.pcss.pl/) has implemented a service for creating interactive visualizations in the form of virtual tours. The offer is primarily aimed at cultural institutions and commercial entities interested in preparing a service that interactively presents a selected object or region.

The service includes the development of visualizations based on both multimedia materials provided by the client, as well as materials acquired using the specialized infrastructure and services of the Dariah.lab project (e.g. laser scanning, audio-video recording, immersive and 360° content capture, etc.). The system allows the use of various multimedia data such as point clouds, 3D models, laser scans, 2D photos, video clips and 360° photos, or spatial audio (ambisonia).

The basic scope of the service includes the preparation of provided or acquired multimedia data, format conversion, creation of the tour scenario, and implementation of a VR application or presentation ready to be placed on a website. Additional services are determined individually based on specific requests.

Demo - “Turwia Palace”

As an example of the service, a visualization of the palace in Turwia was created, along with its adjoining chapel and historic park. The palace complex was once the seat of the Chłapowski family, one of the most important sites on the historical map of Greater Poland. More information about the palace, currently owned by the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry PAS and PCSS, can be found at: https://portal.ichb.pl/zespol-palacowo-parkowy-w-turwi/. Below is a demo of the virtual tour:
